52: Week 7

Here is the first attempt of many at fine art photography. I decided to redo a self portrait I did in 2008. The photo was done after my first true heart break, and ended up gaining meaning as time passed (and contact was made with the boy again and again.) I could say that this portrait is the continuation of the last one, but I don't feel like sharing the story.

I redid this portrait to demonstrate my increased skills in photographing, lighting, photoshop, and use of props. I think I proved my growth.

Looking at this portrait now, each butterfly, and the smeared makeup,

represent an event of heart break with that one boy. I find it strange that the

portrait meaning grew, and I had done it all at random at the time.
