Self: Lavender

Okay guys, I've finally done something I've always wanted to do: dye my hair lavender.
For Christmas my mom offered to pay for me getting my hair done.  She was thinking red highlights or something-I was thinking "go big or go home."
So here it is!  My new professional photo for my website.

Engagement: Steph and James

FINALLY!  I have taken my Aunt's engagement photos.  This is Steph and James, who have been engaged for... a while.  After years of pestering, we finally had time to fit it in, and not a day too soon, they get married this September!

Steph and James, thank you for letting me take your engagement photos, I hope you are as happy with them as I am, and I can't wait to photograph your wedding!

Self: Puppies

After months of wanting this photo, I finally have it!  Here is a photo of me and my babies, Gibbs and Ziva.  This was taken in my front yard with the help of my grandparents.  Grandpa hit the shutter, and grandma got the dogs attention.

We took about 30 pictures, because most of them turned out like this:

Eventually we got it right, and we got an amazing picture!  It was in focus, and the dogs were both looking, all at the same time!

Thank you so much grandma and grandpa for helping me with this photo, I'm so happy to have this picture with my shelties!

Self: Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! I'm back home in Stevens Point for the Holidays and to celebrate my belated 21st Birthday! I had a nice dinner with my family, and there was even enough ice cream cake left over to allow me a nutritious lunch today. This was taken in the front garden of my grandparents house. Dress made by my wonderful Grandma, and the perfect focus is thanks to my Grandpa, who had to come outside and model for me multiple times to allow me to get the right focus.

This is my first self portrait at 21!

52: Week 10

Meet fellow photographer Katelyn Faulks, who graciously agreed to model for me in my basement. I have always loved the wallpaper in our laundry room, and I finally got my hands on the perfect dress.

The dress was made by my wonderful grandma, who also helped to pin the pearl necklace onto the sleeve. Hair and makeup was done by Katelyn herself.

Katelyn, thank you for modeling for me on such short notice, I hope you had fun! And a special thanks to my grandparents, because without them the shoot would not have been possible.

Extended walpaper, changed dress color and wallpaper color to match, dodged and burn each individual jewel on necklace, sculpted face and body, erased shadows, normal dodge and burn, skin retouch and makeup retouch.

Portrait: Mom

So the day has finally come, I have photographed my mom! I have been trying to convince my mom to let me photograph her for quiet some time now, and I have finally succeeded. We started with some traditional portraits and ended with a fun Vampire Slayer theme. Can you see where I get all my strange creativity from? You just wish your mom was as cool as mine!

Model: Margo 2

Margo is back in town! Margo is my best friend from childhood, visiting us cool people in Stevens Point WI. We had to do our usual photo shoot, and this is what we came up with! I think she looks like some stylish girl who just got off the boat on Ellis Island, but thats my coat, scarf and hat, so I will be looking the same!

Thanks for modeling on such short notice out in the cold Stevens Point weather, I had a great time working with you!

Seniors: 2012

Here is a recap of some of my favorite photos from my 2012 season!

All of you were amazing, thanks for making the season great!

Senior: Haley B

Meet my final senior of the season, Haley! Haley and I had an awesome time and she was a great senior to end the season with.

I have to say thank you to ALL of my seniors this year. You were all great, and I am very honored that you all chose me for your senior portraits! Good luck everyone on your senior year, and your future!

Senior: Haley

This cool chick is Haley. Haley and I met at UWSP to start off her senior session before moving on to the studio. Haley is a sassy chick with a great sense of humor, we had a fun time joking and taking pictures, even her mom was pretty cool!

Haley, I had a great time taking your portraits. You look absolutely amazing, your pictures prove it!

Senior: Kelly

Say hello to Kelly! Kelly and I started indoors and then moved downtown to complete her senior portrait session. We had lots of fun exploring new locations, making funny faces and strange animal noises. We even saved some puppies! Thats what I call a successful portrait session!

Kelly, good luck in your senior year and in cheerleading. I expect a national title from you!

Senior: Gary

Meet Gary. I've known Gary since he was a little bugger, and I'm glad to see he grew up into a pretty cool kid! We explored down town and talked about what the most unique senior portrait shoots would be, when Gary said he wanted his pictures done in the back of a police car. As we rounded the corner, what did we happen upon, but a police car! With no officer in sight, we decided to snap a picture or two in front of the squad. Wish granted!

Gary, thanks for being so cool to work with. Sorry we couldn't fit sky diving and scuba diving into your senior portrait shoot, but I think we did pretty well anyway!

Senior: Shannon

Shannon and I met bright and early to take some amazing pictures over at UWSP, then headed back to the studio to continue Shannon's streak of modeling awesomeness! We had a great time sitting in wet grass and playing with windows, and especially with my new camera! Shannon was definitely a great senior to try out my new camera on! Although I'm sure she would have looked just as good with the old one ;P

Shannon, I had a great time photographing you. Good luck in your future dream job, I'm glad to see someone so lucky to get to do what they love.
