Documentary: Visit Milwaukee

This summer I interned with Visit Milwaukee in their Creative services department.  I did a bunch of design work, but more excitingly, photography! I photographed a ton of Milwaukee events, including River Rhythms, State Fair, Irish Fest, German Fest, Brady Street Fest, and the Public Market!

Here are some of my favorites:

Misc: Book Cover

Yesterday, not only did I do one of my most in depth photo shoots, but also one of my most crazy!  Originally, I had a total of 5 male models coming to shoot; only 2 showed up!  Luckily, my 2 amazing models Andrew and Ben (members of my favorite Carroll Fraternity, Delta Rho) found me replacements, and even some extras!  Also, a big thank you to Brandon and Katelynn, you guys helped immensely by staying late and helping with costumes!

So what is going on?  This is my first ever book cover.  I was approached by a friend with the hopes of publishing her first work, a piece of non fiction titled: It was Enchanting to Meet You.   The idea: a girl with a line of her ex boyfriends standing behind her.  In order, front to back: blood donor, baseball player, marine, doctor, race car driver, cowboy.  With any luck, you'll be able to find this book in stores!

Graphic Design: Rivermill Foods

For my Advertising class, we had the assignment of creating a campaign for a local restaurant, Rivermill Foods, located in down town Waukesha. The class was split into four groups, and we competed against each other to be chosen by the restaurant for having the best campaign. My groups theme was "The Cure for Homesickness," with red and gold coloring and a vintage feel. I ventured to the restaurant and took pictures for my groups advertising campaign, here are some of the shots:

We also had to design advertising pieces, such as mailers, bus ads, and flyers. Here are a few of the pieces I designed for our group:

Mailer (Sorry it's sideways!)

Flyer

p.s. My group won the competition!

Graphic Design: TB Vamp

I some how never uploaded this! This is the final advertisement from my shoot with Cassie back from first semester. The products were created in Modo, a program that creates 3D rendering. The glass lid was difficult, but worth it!

This is the original vector design I did over Christmas break last year:

Senior Portrait Collages

Heres a recap of the Seniors of 2011!

Zoom

Just a few more faux advertisements. These are for an athletic candy bar Ghirardelli was supposedly coming out with.

A special thanks on this version to Bree for getting the

track team together for this shot! I owe you!

Alison

Alison is an amazing guitar/ukulele player and singer. She performed here at Carroll this past Tuesday in the pit, and I'm sure she sounded wonderful!

Alison, it was a pleasure to work with you again, you were a great model and and just a great person. I look forward to working with you again in the future!

Bang Bang You're Dead

The Carroll Student Production Team presents a compelling drama that raises awareness of school violence. A young man in a jail cell is tormented by five of those he murdered, who demand answers and drive him to the threshold of remorse. “Bang Bang You’re Dead” is strongly based on the events surrounding Kip Kinkel's shootings of his parents on May 20, 1998 and 27 of his classmates at Thurston High School in Springfield, Ore., on May 21, 1998.

Directed by Chris Meissner, free showing February 11-12, 2011

7 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday in the Otteson Theatre

Ben Dance Team

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the Ben Dance Team. We got together one day after school, and had a bunch of fun jumping and pretending to be models. It was a great learning experience for me, and I think the poster turned out great! I look forward to working with sports teams more often, and continuing to get better!

The (future) Senators

The future of Carroll's student senate will soon rest in the hands of these you men, John, Justin, and Rob.

2011 Promo

Practice promos for the class of 2011. Remember to book early, I go back to college at the end of August!

Carroll University

A senior portrait shoot I was planning was canceled, which left me with a very nice camera for the weekend, and a bunch of friends. It took a while to collect the leaves, but even longer to string together the 14 pictures it took to put together these two collages.
